The serial adapter option, ACC4-IO-ADC, enables the user to use any member of the Mx4 controller family outside of the computer rack as a stand-alone unit or as a serially programmable unit inside the computer. Either RS-232 or RS-485 with multi-drop capabilities can be used. The Acc4 works with Mx4 PC/AT, VME and Multibus platforms.

The ACC4-IO-ADC adds four analog to digital converter input channels to the Mx4 controller. The ADC inputs have an input voltage range of +/- 10 volts. The analog inputs may be used in DSPL programming and/or read from the Mx4 Dual Port RAM by the host.

The ACC4-IO-ADC provides TTL I/O in addition to the Mx4's standard I/Os. All I/Os are TTL and user programmable. In I/O intensive PLC applications the additional I/O card provides a modular solution to your application. Per large volume OEM request DSPCG will customize the I/Os to any number of inputs and outputs.
