The ACC8-MEM with the serial adapter option and permanent memory enable the user to use the Mx4 Octavia controller (on ISA/PCI buses) outside of the computer rack as a stand-alone unit or as a serially programmable unit inside the computer with no need for repeated downloading. In addition, the ACC8-MEM may be used in conjunction with other Mx4 daughterboards, such as the add-on servo drive controller module Vx8.
